Andrew Sorrentino is a Jackson, MS family law and criminal defense attorney. Andrew handles virtually all aspects of family law including divorce, child custody, child support, contempt, modification, adoptions, and guardianships. Attorney Sorrentino handles family law cases throughout the State of Mississippi. He also handles criminal defense cases throughout the State of Mississippi including felonies and misdemeanors.
Andrew maintains a Guardian Ad Litem certification and has acted as a court appointed Guardian Ad Litem in Madison, Rankin, Hinds, and Holmes County, Mississippi.
Andrew obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Louisiana at Monroe. While obtaining his degree he worked for the Ouachita Parish District Attorney’s Office in the Pre-Trial Diversion program.
Upon graduation, Andrew enrolled in Mississippi College’s School of Law where he was actively involved in the Family Justice Society, Sports & Entertainment Society, and Military Justice Society.
During law school Andrew was an extern at the Hinds County Youth Court where he acted as both the Guardian ad Litem and Hinds County Prosecutor. He also volunteered at Mission First Legal Aid Clinic where he provided legal services to low-income families in the tri-county area. .
Andrew currently serves as co-chair of the small/solo practice division of the Jackson Young Lawyers. Andrew is also a member of the Capital Area Bar Association, and Rankin Bar Association.
